Rockin’ the Rivers organizers have announced the 12th annual music festival is set for August 13th, 14th and 15th 2010. Rockin’ the Rivers, held at “The Bridge” 12 miles west of Three Forks, MT, features more than 18 bands performing shows throughout the three-day event.
“Our fans are excited to see the dates set and tickets on their way,” said Mark Vandolah, organizer. “We offer over 1200 campsites which sell out fast. We’ve had a lot of traffic on our website www.rockintherivers.com from fans waiting to buy tickets.” Discount packages will be offered for the first 500 campsite and ticket packages sold.
“For the past 11 years, we’ve brought some great bands to Montana and this year will prove to be equally as good,” said Vandolah. “We’ve set the bar high and we intend to keep it that way.”

Pipe and Drum Band of the Edmonton Police Service
The schedule for appearances by the Pipe and Drum Band of the Edmonton Police Service is set for their upcoming visit to Butte from March 15-17. The popular pipe and drum band from Edmonton, Alberta will arrive in Butte on Monday, March 15 and perform at many locations throughout Butte through March 17.

St. James Foundation Establishes
Earthquake Relief Fund For Haiti
The St. James Healthcare Foundation has established an Earthquake Disaster Relief Fund in cooperation with Granite Mountain Bank to provide assistance to Haiti. Individuals and organizations throughout Southwest Montana are invited to contribute to the fund.
St. James Healthcare employees can contribute directly to the fund or through payroll deductions. The Foundation will match donations up to $2,000 and the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth Health System (SCLHS) will match contributions up to $100,000.
The contributions will be divided equally among the following three agencies:
· The American Red Cross
· Catholic Relief Services
· Partners in Progress in Haiti (an organization that has been supported by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth for several years)
Checks and money orders should be made payable to the St. James Healthcare Foundation and clearly specify “Haiti Earthquake Disaster Relief.” Contributors are asked to provide their name and address so the Foundation can track the tax deductible donations. The Foundation and Granite Mountain Bank will take no fees for administering the project.
Private contributions can be mailed directly to the St. James Healthcare Foundation at P.O. Box 3300, Butte MT 59702 or dropped off at Granite Mountain Bank at 605 Dewey Blvd. |
